The 39th Annual Marfa Lights Festival, a musical celebration of our beloved Far West Texas community, and an opportunity for Marfans to reunite with family and friends, will take place Labor Day weekend — this year’s festival will take place Friday, September 4, to Sunday, September 6.
Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of musical talent, including performances by Assalto, Jaime DeAnda, Conjunto 87, Tex Mex Hippies, Zodiacal and La Nuva Fuerza. A Marfa Lights Festival Dance with Aquario caps off the weekend on Sunday at the Marfa Activities Center (MAC) Building.
The annual parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday. And Saturday includes a special performance of “Cosmic Circus” at noon, sponsored by Marfa Live Arts and the Marfa Chamber of Commerce.
The festival is free for all ages, with the exception of the dance, which is $15 per person or $20 for couples.
Stay tuned for more activities and an exact schedule of times.
